Place of Birth: Brisbane
What is your first motorsport memory: Lowood and Lakeside race meetings - went to Lowood meets in the back seat of an Anglia -John Hoare and myself were on motor cycle cop watch while David Hoare drove flat chat at 80mph weaving in and out of traffic. David went on to race a Centaur for a few years with moderate success. He is a solicitor.
What happened in your first race: Started with sprints, then top gear, all great fun. Then came the closeness of Gemini racing- quite a different buzz
Who is your favourite Gemini driver and why: Any one with the ability to control his vehicle without causing major damage to other geminis
What is your favourite racing memory: The STI was John Coffeys? Probably the wrong spelling. He won race one on wets when I was on slicks. For races 2 and 3, I had wets as well, got a better start than John [ we started one and two on the grid] and I won both those races before racing was called off due to the weather getting even worse. The unbelievable part I recall is the straight on the National circuit between turn 3 and 4 and the car side stepping one way then coming back on track. This happened pretty well every lap in that same section of track.
